OUR AROMATOLOGIST + FOUNDER
Kimberly VanHeusden
Born and raised in the vibrant Detroit area, I carry with me a blend of grit, awareness, and compassion. For the past 20 years, I've called the Minneapolis area home, where my "framily" (friend family) resides. Being an aunt to many little ones, with more on the way, brings immense joy to my life.
My journey has been one of continuous learning and exploration. As a lifelong lover and learner of all things, I've pursued various certifications, including becoming a Reiki master, a certified barre coach, and a certified sommelier with numerous additional wine and spirits certifications. My educational journey also includes a Women's Leadership Certification from Cornell University and a Health & Wellness Coach Certification from IIN.
From an early age, I was fascinated by the power of the mind and body connection. This interest led me to explore how different cultures nurture this connection through movement, breath, plant medicine, and other holistic modalities. The merging of wisdom with science simply makes sense to me.
Storytelling has always been a part of my life. I have fond memories of telling stories at slumber parties to help friends fall asleep. Over the years, I've also been making tinctures and blends for myself, harnessing the power of scent to transform, empower, and create.
With decades of experience in the sales field, I am now embarking on a new chapter in change management while starting a new business. My passion lies in helping people—listening, learning, sharing, and caring. I strive to be a conduit, uncovering what is already within someone, holding space, and providing a path or an ear.
In my daily devotion practice, one of my intentions, is to positively contribute to myself, others, and the Universe. My hope is that Heart Held Apothecary intention sprays do just that for you.

Your Guides
Kimberly
Founder of Heart Held Apothecary, Kimberly brings a unique blend of somatic presence, energetic grounding, and two decades of professional leadership experience. Her career began in the sales space, where she led teams, built relationships, and learned how deeply people thrive when they feel seen, supported, and empowered. Over time, that path evolved into change management, sales enablement, and learning & development — work that allowed her to guide individuals and organizations through transformation with clarity and compassion.
Kimberly’s passion is helping people unlock their own wisdom within. She weaves together somatic practices, scent intention, and restorative ritual to create spaces where participants can soften, listen, and reconnect with their sovereignty. Her approach is warm, intuitive, and deeply human — inviting you to feel held while discovering your own inner guidance.
Molly
Molly brings more than two decades of movement, mindfulness, and body‑based healing into her teaching. With a lifelong background in ballet, her barre classes are a dynamic blend of strength, precision, and joy — thoughtfully sequenced, form‑focused, and designed to leave you feeling balanced and inspired.
Her yoga journey began over 20 years ago as a way to find grounding and community. Since completing her yoga teacher training in 2011 and barre training in 2012, she has taught with a deep respect for the body’s ability to heal, adapt, and thrive.
Beyond the studio, Molly has been a massage therapist for 25 years and is endlessly curious about physiology, anatomy, and the many modalities that support wellness — including crystals, oils, sound healing, and Reiki. She finds joy in connection, community, time outdoors, music, and travel (with Bocas del Toro, Panama holding a special place in her heart).
